Stunning and purposefully built W.H. Gunlocke New York swivel chair dating from the early 1900’s.
This chair is constructed of very heavy mahogany, dressed in a rich caramel leather and features Noelting Faultless Casters. There are three ergonomic adjustment knobs, one for seat back pitch, one for spring stiffness, and one for the overall height of the seat back. The leather is in outstanding condition, the seat (only) appears to have been professionally re-stuffed with original horsehair/burlap and wool at some stage of it’s life, so ready for another 100 years of daily use. The seat is comfortable for long desk sessions, not too hard, not overly squishy. One wheel has a slight chip in the bakelite, but Noelting Casters are very easy to find on Ebay (at a reasonable price) should you choose to replace, this would be an aesthetic only swap..the existing wheel functions perfectly.
This chair will support well over 300lbs.
