We work hard to take a step beyond nostalgia by fostering a sanctuary for art, artifacts, collectibles and design elements that we believe are deeply infused with utility, soul, and function.
We believe the things we make and inherit deserve more than a moment in time. They carry the ingenuity of their makers, the sensibilities of their age, and the stories of the lives they’ve touched. In a culture increasingly inclined to discard, we find value in understanding what things are, what they mean, and what they might yet become.
Our work begins there.
stewardship
Objects are more than their materials, their market value, or their place in history. They embody human ingenuity, memory, design, and the accumulated knowledge of their makers. We believe they deserve to be understood, cared for, and given every reasonable opportunity to endure.
Stewardship means taking responsibility for what has been entrusted to us, while remaining mindful of the histories and possibilities it carries.
craft heritage
We believe that an object’s design and construction reveal more than how it was made. They reflect the ideas, values, and sensibilities of its time: prevailing notions of utility, aesthetic preferences, available materials, and the ingenuity brought to bear on both.
Design rarely begins from scratch. Each generation draws, consciously or otherwise, on what came before, adapting inherited knowledge, techniques, and ideas to new purposes and changing tastes. In this ongoing exchange between tradition and innovation, we find a rich heritage of human ingenuity.
preservation
For us, preservation is about recognising what remains worth keeping, and finding ways for it to add value to our lives. Through repair, restoration, and thoughtful adaptation, we help objects retain their usefulness, while keeping alive the knowledge, skills, and stories embodied in them.
The past needn’t remain untouched to remain meaningful. Sometimes, its best future is a new one.

We are deeply rooted in our local Minneapolis–St. Paul community, and do our best to honor the history that has shaped our surroundings. We recognize the exceptional talents of our local craftspeople, artisans, and small businesses and lend our support to their endeavors. Contributing to our community is our small part in preserving the artistic and craft heritage that defines our region.
