This beautiful Mahogany Colonial Manufacturing Co..(Zeeland, MI) folding writing desk featuring solid brass & nickel hardware is a stunning and unique example of late 19th/early 20th century American furniture. The desk is constructed of solid mahogany and features a variety of cubbies and compartments, complete with original retractable glass ink well and pen holders for lefties and right handed individuals. The desk has a large sliding writing surface with brass pulls, as well as a number of drawers and compartments for storing pens, ink, paper, and other supplies.

The desk has been professionally serviced to better reflect its original condition. The original mahogany finish has been buffed to a rich, warm patina, and the articulating parts have been carefully cleaned and polished. In perfect 100% original condition. There is no damage, or post fix gluing etc. There is a US Government, or military inventory marker on the underside (517), as Colonial Manufacturing Co, along with others, had contracts with the US Military from the late 1800’s through WWII).

This desk is a perfect addition to any home office or study. It is both functional and stylish, and it is sure to be a conversation piece for years to come.
